Where are my files stored?

Only on your phone, in the app's private folder. Your original file is never touched; edits happen on a working copy. Use "Save / Share" to export.

Will my notes show up in other PDF readers?

Yes. Highlights, notes, pen drawings, shapes, text boxes, stamps and signatures are saved as standard PDF annotations. "Save flattened" burns them into the page.

How do I share my voice notes?

Recordings are attached to the PDF; you can also export "Notes + recordings (ZIP)".

Does redaction really remove the content?

Yes. Text in redacted areas is removed from the content and the result is re-opened and verified; pages with images are turned into images so nothing remains underneath.

Is the signature legally binding?

It is an image of a signature; it is not a qualified electronic signature.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kâtip PDF. Your documents, notes and recordings are not deleted if you cancel.

I switched phones — what about my subscription?

Sign in with the same Google account and tap Settings → "Restore purchases". Documents stay on the old device; export them first and open them on the new one.

Can you open a PDF whose password I forgot?

No. Kâtip PDF only removes the password from a file whose password you know; it does not crack passwords.

Which of my data reaches your server, and how do I get it deleted?

Your documents, notes, recordings and signatures never reach any server. Only for Premium subscription verification do the purchase token and the Play Integrity token reach our server; the server stores a hash of the token, the product, subscription status, expiry date and Google Play order number. To request deletion, write to destek@weideas.tr with your Google Play order number (starting with GPA). You can delete everything on your device with Settings → "Delete all data".
